Whispers of Rain

alluring aesthetic of July ….

July is what you call natures paradise month. With silver threads, the heaven tries to kiss earth gently and gift it with lush green saree to drape around. But it’s more than that. It makes you saunter over that particular memory of your life that you have forgotten somehow in this rat race. Below is a poem by me , how I got reminded to start believing in the existence of happiness and love in life rather than just compromises on the go.

In the gentle drizzle’s hushed descent
upon my car’s windowpane, a world made faint,
A silent rupture, a paradoxical affair
yet within me a song I can no longer bear.

The shimmering allure of nature’s embrace
invites me to dance , to partake in its grace
A serenade serene with beauty untold
Who am I to refuse such treasures of old ?

Enticed, I surrender, into the puddles I leap
and in that moment a flash of memory seeps,
bygone era, carefree days in the rain
when laughter reigned and fears were slain.

Why have I grown silent as the years unfold
neglecting my share of joy, love untold ?
but there in the distance a vision takes form
A girl in the rain defying the norm.

As if from a Bollywood scene
she prances and twirls
Her drenched hair
a testament to her unfading pearls
with an unwavering smile
a beacon of delight
those misty spectacles, a portal to insight.

Do raindrops possess a language of their own
lost to me, a language I’ve yet to atone ?
with each stride forward my purpose unfolds
to pen a verse , a soothing balm to behold.
