Elegy of the Searching Soul
This a poetry about my search for my own existence in this earth. we are confused but that doesn't mean we are lost, it means we will just reach there a little late..
In the abyss of tears, I dwell,
Engulfed in shadows, a forlorn cell.
Drifting with grace, though obstructed still,
Seeking solace, embracing the absurdist thrill.
Amidst the chaos, lost, I ponder,
Does something ail me or am I just a wanderer?
No answer will ever suffice my soul,
Yet onward I march, believing I’m whole.
A destination awaits, not inviting but cold,
Yet its allure tempts, a tale yet untold.
Within, a calamity of humanity resides,
Curiosity extinguished; hope subsides.
Should I linger here, waiting in vain,
Or forge a new path, where possibilities reign?
Confusion veils me, just like the rest,
But dare I possess the courage to be the best?
This question now queries my very core,
A firefly’s history, dancing once more.
In self-illumination, can I truly soar,
Or do I feign tragedy to gain empathy more?
Reluctance, it seems, is my favored guise,
An optimization to truths I disguise.
Why can’t I fathom, understand the way,
Am I but a fool, lost in my own play?
Or do these actions serve to console,
A heart yearning for purpose, to make itself whole?
